Acupuncture
Acupuncture is a method of Chinese medicine that involves inserting very fine needles at specific points on the body to promote healing and to improve function. It is generally understood that needling the Acupuncture points stimulates the nervous system to release chemicals in the muscles, spinal cord, and brain.
Electro-Acupcture
Electro-Acupuncture is the use of very small electrical impulses through Acupuncture needles inserted at specific points in the body. We use Electro-Acupuncture when the body needs a stronger input than needles alone, especially in cases such as bad back paralysis and limb stiffness.
*Treatments are usually once a week for 4-8 weeks. Acupuncture and Electro-Acupuncture sessions typically last 20-40 minutes.
